Label Animal Landmarks (AP 10K)

Maps a flat AP-10K-ordered [Landmark] list onto a typed Landmarks2d.Animal17 record with named fields — eyes, nose, neck, tail, shoulders, elbows, paws, hips, and knees — so downstream stages address keypoints by name instead of index.

How it fits

Typical backends

Wildlife monitoring — name the detected keypoints, then draw them.

Gate poses by region — label keypoints then filter on a bounding box.

Caveats

Hard constraintThe input [Landmark] must carry at least seventeen points; a shorter list is rejected and emits no record.
AccuracyThe mapping is purely positional, so a list whose keypoint order differs from the AP-10K convention produces a silently mis-named record.
CompatibilityThe field layout follows the AP-10K animal-pose keypoint set; pose models with a different keypoint order need a converter built for that schema.
